The funeral for Charles A Langley, who died Sunday at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, was held Tuesday morning at St. Marys Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Langley, 74, was born July 28, 1903 in Lucas. He moved to Ellis in 1928 where he was a clerk and cashier for the Union Pacific Railroad.

He married Teresa Nicholson on July 18, 1920 in Chapman. He was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church, the Brotherhood of Railway Cleerks, and the Union Pacific Railroad Oldtimer's Club in Salina.

Survivors include his wife, home; three sons, Thomas L., Denver, Gilbert F., Junction City, and Michael A., Champagne, Ill.; two daughters, Eileen E. Langley, Junction City and Mrs. Agnes Niernberger, Ellis; one brother, Carl E., Emporia, two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Nichols, Enterprise and Mrs. Nellie Hutchcraft, Ellinwood. 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
