Doris Virginia Forbes Osmundson, 82, of the 2200 block of Stowe Road, died March 6, 2004. A native of North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Simeon and Bessie Norsworthy Forbes. She was a retired cafeteria assistant with Virginia Beach city schools and a member of Suburban Christian Church, Virginia Beach.
She is survived by her husband, Olaf Melvin Osmundson; a daughter, Carolyn A. Osmundson of Virginia Beach; three sons, Olaf John Osmundson and wife, Diane, of Broadway, Va., David Melvin Osmundson and wife, Carol of Currituck, N.C., and Larry Stefen Osmundson of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Helen Osmundson of Virginia Beach and Margie Forbes of the Eastern Shore; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. in Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel, with the Rev. Merlin Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. prior to the service and at the residence at all other times.
