Mrs. W.S. Meadows, 78, a former resident of Glennville, died in Columbus Thursday after a brief illness.

Survivors are a son, W.S. Meadows, Jr.; two daughters, Mrs. I.L. Shields of Columbus, Mrs. W.L. Hargett of Salem, Ala.; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Outlaw of Wrightsville, Mrs. George Barbe of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a brother, B.D. Bedgood of Vidalia; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Glennville First Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Judson Burrell and the Rev. George Fields. Burial was in the city cemetery.

Pallbearers were Hugh Strickland, Dan Cowart, Marvin Perkins, J.M. Padgett, Clinton Oliver and Bill H. Durrence.

Rimes Mortuary was in charge.
