Civil War: Company E, 1st New Mexico Infantry (Old) and Company A, 1st New Mexico Cavalry.

Blas Brijalba, age 20 years, enrolled in Company E, 1st New Mexico Infantry (Old), at Fort Union, New Mexico Territory, July 25, 1861. He was transferred to Company A, 1st New Mexico Cavalry, May 31, 1862. He was appointed corporal about September 1862. Corporal Brijalba was wounded in a fight with Indians July 18, 1863. He was appointed sergeant August 1, 1863. Sergeant Brijalba mustered-out at Fort Stanton, New Mexico Territory, July 31, 1864.
