FLOYD A. WHITMAN
Services for Floyd A. Whitman, 92, a resident of Lakeview Christian Home on North Canal Street, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Ninth and Missouri Streets Church of God.
The Rev. Jack Drake will officiate. Burial will be in the Carlsbad Cemetery.
He died Saturday (Jan. 23, 1992) at Lakeview Christian Home.
He was born March 7, 1900, in Beaverton, Mich., to Allen and Sophrona Whitman. He attended school in Michigan and lived there until he retired in 1973.
He worked in an auto plant in Robertson, Mich., while also operating a family farm.
Survivors include his wife, Cora Whitman of Carlsbad; two sons, Floyd A. Whitman Jr. of Mount Pleasant, Mich., Lyle D. Whitman of Carlsbad; one stepson, Bill Bea of Carlsbad; one stepdaughter, Darlene Hooten of Carlsbad; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by West Funeral Home.

3.Lyle Eugene b.4 Aug 1932-d. 25 Aug 1955 from cancer.
Lyle Dennis is Floyd's grandson.
Floyd & 1st.wife Alice have a stone in Dale Cemetary, but he remarried Cora & is buried in Carlsbad New Mexico. Floyd is my grandfather, Daniel Whitman's, youngest brother.
