Mrs. Ida Thomas
LAWRENCE- Mrs. Ida May Thomas,82,Lawrence, died late Thursday afternoon in Lake View Community Hospital,Paw Paw,where she had been a patient for 10 days.
Mrs. Thomas was born May 13,1879 in Michigan, and came here two years ago from Sidnaw Mich. to reside with her grandson William Thomas. Recently she had made her home with Mrs. Eugenia Gage.
Mrs. Thomas was a member of the Lawrence Longfellow club and the Sidnaw Methodist church.
Besides her grandson, survivors include two brothers, Floyd & Dan Whitman,both of Gladwin Mich.;two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Brown of Fenton and Mrs. Nellie Hashburger of Findlay OHio; two other grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Sisson Funeral Home this evening.
Saturday the body will be taken to Sidnaw, where funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Methodist church. The Rev. James Hillar,pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the family lot in the Sidnaw Cemetary.
Ida was born in Roscommon Co. Mi. daughter of Alexander Whitman & Sophronia Gertrude Hawley.
Her brother Daniel Charles Whitman is my grandfather.
