Albert Fadem, 90, of Tulsa, passed away February 1, 2000 at St. John Hospital. He was born October 17, 1909 to Harry and Rose Fadem in St. Louis, MO. Albert moved with his family to Tulsa in 1927, where he attended Central High School. He was a Veteran of World War II. After his service he married Theresa Tublin Fadem on October 4, 1945. Their marriage lasted 54 years until Theresa's death on October 6, 1999. In 1946 Albert co-founded Fadem Pipe & Supply and the following year he formed Fadem Oil Company which is still in existence today. Mr. Fadem operated properties throughout the mid-continent region and in West Texas. In addition to his oil and gas activities he, along with Theresa, was a supporter of the Tulsa Philharmonic, Tulsa Opera and the Tulsa Ballet, St. John Hospital and the Texas Heart Institute. Mr. Fadem was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Akdar Temple. He supported many charities throughout Oklahoma. Albert was an active member of the St. John (Siegfried) Health Club and he enjoyed regular attendance from 1983 through 1999. He was a lifetime member of Congregation B'nai Emunah. Albert had a fondness for all people around him and was loved by all who knew him. Albert leaves behind 3 sons, Stephen Z. Fadem, M.D. and his wife, Joyce, Houston, TX, Lloyd R. Fadem, Bruce A. Fadem and his wife, Jennifer, all of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Zachary Fadem, Amherst, MA, Stephanie Fadem, New Orleans, LA, Joey and Robert Fadem, Houston, TX, Joshua, Kelly and Evan Fadem, all of Tulsa, OK. Service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, January 3, 2000 at Temple Israel. Interment New Orthodox Section at Rose Hill Cemetery. The Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel.
