Mrs. Madison Bear, a lifelong resident of Tuscumbia, died at her home there yesterday morning. She had been an invalid 18 years.
Mrs. Bear was born Feb. 18, 1890, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Abbett. In 1908 she was married to Madison Bear, who survives.
Other survivors include five children, Arthur Bear, Eldon; Mrs. Robert Stillwell, Alton, Ill.; Mrs. Harold Pryor, Tuscumbia; Mrs. Wayne Tyler, Eugene; and David Bear, Alton Ill.; three brothers, Ernest, C.M. and Herbert Abbett, all of Tuscumbia; five sisters, Mrs. Ralph Martin, Mrs. Alvin Sooter and Mrs Irvin Curry, Tuscumbia; Mrs. Bob Craven, Lake Ozark and Mrs. Claude Memberg, Granite City, Ill.; and nine grandchildren.
Mrs. Bear was a member of the Mount Zionn Church near Tuscumbia.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church of Tuscumbia. Burial will be in the Tuscumbia Cemetery.
