Barsey Belle Curry, age 81 years, of Rt. 1, Tuscumbia, Mo., passed away Monday, April 11, 1977 at Charles E. Still Hospital in Jefferson City, Mo. where she had been a patient since April 2, 1977. Mrs. Curry was born October 13, 1895 at Capps, Mo. in Miller County, the daughter of Eli and Susie (Forrester) Abbett. She was united in marriage on November 25, 1915 at her home in Tuscumbia, Mo. to Irving M. Curry, who survives of the home.

Mrs. Curry lived all her life in Miller County and at the farm home near Capps since 1918. She was a faithful member of Humphreys Creek Christian Church and a former member of the WPFA Club at St. Elizabeth, Mo.

Preceding her in death were her parents; 2 brothers, Charley and Elmer and 1 sister, Mrs. Sadie Bear.

Surviving other than her husband, Irving, are 1 son, Lloyd R. Curry of Virginia Beach, Va.; 1 daughter, Tracy Hoffman of Lenexa, Kan.; 2 brothers, Ernest Abbett of Eldon, Mo. and Herman Abbett of Tuscumbia, Mo.; 4 sisters, Mrs. Alma Craven of Jefferson City, Mo., Mrs. Ella Sooter of Ulman, Mo., Mrs. Cleo Malmberg of Granite City, Ill. and Mrs. Ruby Martin of Tuscumbia, Mo.; 1 granddaughter, Mrs. Pamela Brown and 1 great-granddaughter, Shelley Curry; 2 grandsons, Lloyd R. Curry, Jr. and Troy R. Hoffman.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 1977 at Humphreys Creek Christian Church with Rev. Floyd Barlow officiating. Interment was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery under the direction of the Stevinson Funeral Home of Iberia, MO. Pallbearers were John Pendleton, El Keilback, Lloyd Flaugher, Elbert Flaugher, Floyd Johnson and Sterling Cross.
