Mrs Wells was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Her obituary is in the Mary Ball Chapter's scrapbook:

Funeral Tomorrow of Mrs. Wells - Remains will lie in state at Mrs. Atkinson's Home Today.

The remains of Mrs. Henrietta Bright Garretson Wells, wife of Rt. Rev. L. H. Wells, Episcopal bishop of the diocese of Spokane, who died in Washington, D.C. Thursday while attending the annual convention of the Daughters of the American Revolutiion, arrived in the city last evening at 7:45 o'colck on the North Coast limited, accompanied by the bereaved husband, Rt. Rev. Mr. Wells. The remains were removed to the home of Mrs. George E. Atkinson, sister of the deceased, at No. 815 North K street, where they will lie in state today and may be viewed by friends.

The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon from the Trinity Episcopal church on North K street. The funeral address will be delivered by rev. Horace H. Clapham, paster oif the church. The services will be attended in a body by the members of the Mary Ball and the Virginia Dare chapters of the daughters of the American Revolution, who are requested to meet at the home of Mrs. Frank Allyn, No. 401 North K street, at 1:45 o'clock Monday afternoon. Interment will be made in Tacoma cemetery.

Pierce County, Washington death records indicated that Mrs. Wells was 65 years of age and died from La Grippe. Her normal residence was Spokane.
