Mrs. Lena Turner Peterson of Rocky Grove Extension, Franklin RD 2, wife of Carl A. Peterson, died at 10:30 am today in her home. She was born in Sugarcreek Township, Galloway area, daughter of William A. and Tirza Carter Turner.
She was a member of the Galloway Methodist Church, the Women's Club of Franklin, Order of Eastern State, and the Franklin Hospital Auxiliary. She lived in the house in which she died for the past 40 years and was a life-long resident of Venango County. She was active in civic affairs, served on the board of the Franklin-Venango Chapter of the American Red Cross and in various capacities in the Franklin Hospital Auxiliary, for many years served as receptionist at the hospital, passed out cards to those visiting patients, retiring last year due to ill health.
Surviving with her husband is a nephew, George Turner, of Seattle, WA. Two brothers, Clarence A and Fred W. Turner, preceded her in death.
