LISBON -- Marjorie H. Gardner, 76, of East Pine Street passed away at 3:45 p.m. Saturday at the Salem Community Hospital.

Mrs. Gardner was born Sept. 6, 1927, in Lisbon, a daughter of the late Wallace and Clara (Beacon) Patterson.

A homemaker, she was a member of the John J. Welsh American Legion Post 275 Ladies Auxiliary and Iva Chapter Order of Eastern Star.

Mrs. Gardner also was a member of the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon and elder and member of the women's association.

She is survived and will be missed by her loving husband, Robert F. Gardner whom she married Sept. 20, 1948; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Deneen Gardner of Leetonia; sister Merry Toot of Daytona Beach, Fla.' granddaughters, Delaney and Mekensy Gardner of Leetonia; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Gardner was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Patterson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Eells Leggett Stauffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark R. Wilds officiating.

Burial will follow in Lisbon Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of other remembrances, the family suggests the memorials be made to the Multiple sclerosis Services Agency, 5208 Mahoning Ave, Youngstown, Ohio 44515
