Funeral for Dessie Taylor NeSmith, 84, of Hanceville, formerly of Decatur, will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with the Rev. G. Douglas Ripley and the Rev. A. Ray Lee officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. NeSmith died Friday, May 5, 2000, at Woodland Community Hospital in Cullman. She was born October 25, 1915, in Lawrence County to Pink And Easter Louis Smith. She was a retired retail sales clerk.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Maner of Hanceville; one stepson, Malcolm NeSmith of Huntsville; one stepdaughter, Jeanie Elders of Memphis; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Nephews will be pallbearers.
