Harris Pillsbury officiated at funeral services for his father, Manuel Gonzales, Sr. Their deaths were announced simultaneously.
Fred McCleary sang Rock of Ages and My Face Looks Up to Thee. Mrs. D.D. Erwin presided at the organ. Burial followed in Chico Cemetery. Many Oakland and San Francisco friends paid respects at the funeral home for both father and son.
