Franklin seemed a restless man. He moved from Livonia, NY to Portage, NY in 1853; to Granger, NY in 1857; to Allen, NY in 1858; to Angelica, NY in 1862; to Portage, NY in 1873; to Hume, NY in 1875. He was paralyzed as result of a fall from a tree on Oct. 21, 1878.

Franklin Adams, of Pike, fell from an apple tree last week. He struck upon his back, causing paralysis of the limbs and also breaking several ribs.
