Obituary for Lewis Milton Kinsey:
Lewis M. Kinsey, age 81, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Thursday, October 14, 2010 at his residence. He was born on June 5, 1929 in San Angelo, Texas to David Boyd Kinsey Sr. and Carrie Mabel Gray Kinsey. Mr. Kinsey was employed by Humble/Exxon for 38 years until his retirement in 1985. Mr. Kinsey was an alumni of Texas A&I University with a teaching degree in Industrial Arts. He, a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean Conflict, was a member of the American Legion, the Elks Lodge and the Kingsville Citizens Patrol Alumni Association. Mr. Kinsey attended the First Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sons: Milton Glen Kinsey and Gordon Lynn Kinsey.
Mr. Kinsey is survived by his wife of 59 years, Monta Fae Kinsey of Kingsville; two daughters: Laura Sue Kinsey of Lampasas, Texas and Cheryl Kinsey (Randall) Chamblee of McKinney, Texas; one brother, David Boyd Kinsey Jr. of Taft, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at the First Presbyterian Church, 302 West Kleberg Street, Kingsville, with Rev. Chuck Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
