David Boyd Kinsey Jr. 88, died in Taft, Texas on June 3, 2014 at his residence. David was born July 28, 1925 in San Angelo, Texas. He graduated from Ingleside High School. He served in the United States Marine Corp during WWII and was one of the last remaining survivors of Iwo Jima from South Texas. He also served on the occupation force in Nagasaki, Japan at the end of the war. He also attended Del Mar College and worked as an electrician for ExxonMobil retiring after a long career. He was also a member of the Marine Corp League in Corpus Christi and a member of the Methodist Church in Ingleside.

David was preceded in death by his wife, Martha M. (Custer) Kinsey; parents, David B. Kinsey and Carrie Mabel Kinsey; and brother, Lewis M. Kinsey.

He is survived by his children, David B. Kinsey III and wife Debbie, Donald B. Kinsey and wife Susan, Dennis M. Kinsey, William G. Kinsey and wife Kathleen and Nancy M. Kinsey; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was the patriarch of the Kinsey family leaving many other relatives.

Graveside service with military honors will be held at Chamberlain Cemetery in Kingsville.

Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
