Hobert Adkins,
age 90, of Douglas Hollow, Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2011, at his residence.
He was born February 17, 1920, in Morgan County, Kentucky, son of the late Elliott and Dicy Hill Adkins. He was also preceded in death by six brothers and sisters; his wife, Sadie Lucille Keaton Adkins; two sons, Tony Jay Adkins and Ronald Allen Adkins; and one grandson, Bradley Michael Neal
Hobert is survived by three daughters, Patricia Ann Adkins and Diana Sue Adkins, both of Louisa, and Debra Lynn Adkins of Olive Hill; one brother, Rufus Adkins of New Castle, Indiana; three grandchildren, Jamie Ray Adkins and fiancée Heather Ice, Daniel Allen Adkins, and Matthew Taylor Adkins; three great grandchildren, Jamie Ray Adkins, Jr., Landon Ice, and Allie Rae Adkins; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Adkins was a former construction worker, coal miner, farmer, and logger.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Phillip Fraley officiating. Burial will follow in the Bradley Cemetery at Soldier.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Adkins, Daniel Adkins, Jamie Adkins, Kohl Beach, James Keaton, and Tod Keaton.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. Friday, January 21, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
