Luella was born to Hiram Robinson and Jemima Barnett, their youngest known daughter. After her mother's death, her father gave up all of his daughters, continuing to raise only his son Benjamin.

Luella was adopted by Dr. James Harvey, Find A Grave Memorial# 22579121. Like her father Hiram, he served in the civil war but a different regiment. Luella's sisters were sent elsewhere, likely taken in by other families, but evidence shows she at the very least kept in contact with her sister Angela Hamill.

24 Mar 1913 the Canton Repository reads:

"Mrs. J.L. Westfall, of 1225 Lippert street, and grand-daughter, Miss Ethel Westfall, went to Akron Saturday to spend Sunday with Mrs. Westfall's niece, Mrs. John Fitzpatrick". This is determined to be Mary Ida Hamill, Angela's daughter, memorial 128571656

Her obituary was published in The Evening Repository, Canton Ohio, Monday April 30 1928. In it, it mentions she is a member of the Simpson United Methodist Church of Canton. She leaves behind a husband, James L. Westfall, a daughter "Mrs. D. Binkley", a son "D.L. Westfall", both of Canton, and a sister "Mrs. J. Hamill of Cadiz".

There are some typos here- D. Binkley is B. Binkley, and D.L. is E.L however, most of the information is accurate.

She married James L. Westfall on 28 September 1882 in Carroll County, Ohio and moved to Canton thereafter where she spent the rest of her life. She resided at 1225 Lippert Rd. NE. If anyone has any photos or stories to share, please contact me.

She and James had three children.
1. Charles Edgar "Ed" Westfall (1883-1927)
2. Lulu May Westfall (1888-1928)
3. Ernest Lee Westfall aka Lee Ernest Westfield (1894-1984)

My grandmother doesn't remember ever meeting her but was told she was a lovely woman. She was described as havig red hair and being Irish, though I think the Irish bit was suspected solely because of the red hair.
