Bio

I have spent many years researching my ancestors. Surnames connected to my father's line: Halterman,Myers,Shanks,Barnes,Baker,Petticord,Floyd,Cox,Robinson, Barnett,Glass,Evans and Huff from OH, PA, MD

Surnames connected to my mother's line are: Greene,Green,Watson,Sherrill,Carlton,Livingston, Marley,Ferguson,Wallace,White,Triplett,Laws, McKee,Allison,Durham,Bailey,Lowrance,Bray, Hodges, and Hamby from North Carolina. My third great grandmother in NC is believed to be a full blood Cherokee. Perhaps DNA will prove it.

I only enter and manage memorials that are of my family, ancestors & close friends. Please respect my request to manage Find A Grave memorials of my ancestors entered by someone with no family connection. I have met some very nice people who will transfer a cousin or ancestor that does not meet the FAG guide lines, and some members who are in no way connected but will not part with the management of a memorial that they made.

If you do not want to transfer a memorial when asked, do not send me mail about the FAG guidelines. I have read them and I think the relationship does not go far enough. If it is a cousin that you can add information about it will be helpful to anyone working on genealogy. If you know nothing about the person please transfer as requested.

The Schupp's from Germany adopted my Baker grandmother and therefore I entered memorials for all the Schupp's connected to her adopted family.

Many NC families migrated to Coshocton County, Ohio starting in 1920 and continued through the 1930's. Most (if not all), are connected to my NC ancestors. I will make memorials for those who lived, had children, and died here. I have known many of these people since I was a child.

WHEN I ADD A FAMILY PICTURE TO THE MEMORIALS, DO NOT COPY THEM WITHOUT MY APPROVAL. IN NO WAY ARE THEY TO BE COPIED AND USED ON ANY INTERNET GENEALOGY SITE. I have found copies of my pictures on Ancestry.com and GENI genealogy sites that were taken without my permission.

I recently found some of my entire Find A Grave memorials copied and put on GENI and Rootsweb. The FAG memorials are managed only by me and when copied and added to other websites, I cannot change or delete them. This must be stopped.

Do you know that Find A Grave genealogy and pictures are now part of Ancestry.com? If you did not want your information spread around everywhere it is too late. This included copyrighted family pictures. You have to pay for Ancestry.com information including what was yours.

I also follow the Federal Law at 17 U.S.C § 107 about copying information and pictures and using them for other than personal use.
It is OK to copy pictures of grave stones.

I wonder if you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew.
That someday I would find this spot
And come to visit you."
