"MRS. SILL DIES AT BAY HOSPITAL
Mrs. Victorine Harlan Sill, member of one of the Woodland district's early pioneer families, died at a Berkeley hospital yesterday. She had been in poor health the last three years.
Mrs. Sill was born 86 years ago on the Woodland district farm of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Harlan. She spent the early years of her life here, went to the Hesperian college at Woodland and later was graduated from Mills college. Following her marriage to Stephen J. Sill, the couple lived at San Diego and at Berkeley where Mr. Sill was in the mercantile business. For a time, Mr. and Mrs. Sill lived at Winters. Mr. Sill died many years ago.
Surviving relatives include one sister, Mrs Susan M Magill of Santa Cruz, and two brothers, Joseph L Harlan of Woodland and William Harlan of Santa Rosa. The late Mrs R M Brown of Woodland also was a sister.
Funeral services will be held at Berkeley Wednesday at 1:30 pm." END
