Wayne Chrisman, 74 and Betty Chrisman, 72

— Wayne P. Chrisman, 74, and Betty J. Chrisman, 72, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord as they had lived life for 55 years together, Tuesday, February 26, at their home.
Wayne was born to the late Brown and Helen Chrisman in Estill County, Ky. Wayne worked for many years at Bluegrass Hardware in Richmond and later owned and operated Chrisman Appliance Service prior to his retirement. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and served in Korea.
Betty, a homemaker, was born in Bybee, Ky., to the late Rev. Herman Perry and is survived by her mother, Thelma (Perry) Webb.
Wayne and Betty are survived by: their son, David Chrisman (Jamie) of Lexington; their daughter Denise Ward (Matt) of Dover, Pa.; four grandchildren, Melissa Austin (Aaron), Lexington, Joshua and Rachel Chrisman, Lexington; and Christopher Ward, Dover, Pa.; and one great-grandchild, Emma Austin, Lexington.
Wayne?s brothers and sisters include: the late Edward Chrisman; and the late Maxine Harrison; brothers, William D. Chrisman of Fairborn, Ohio, Mitchell Paul and Nelson D. Chrisman of Richmond. Ky., Harry G. (Barbara) Chrisman of Panola, Ky., Larry G. (Armitti) Chrisman of Ravenna, Ky., sisters, Jewel Dean (Luther) Benton of Columbus, Ga., Judith Lynn Nantz of North Carolina; and sister-in-law, Opal Chrisman of Red Lick, Ky.
Both Wayne and Betty were members of First Baptist Church in Richmond and both were avid U.K. sports fans, who loved NASCAR and camping.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at Oldham, Roberts and Powell Funeral Home, with the Rev. Arthur Ray officiating. Burial will follow in the Flatwoods Cemetery at Waco. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at Oldham, Roberts & Powell.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Pullins, Bud Cornelison, Embry Curry, Dude Cochran, Don Hale, Joe Kays, Jimmy Cornelison and Gary Tackett.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to: St. Jude Children?s Hospital or the Disabled American Veterans Association.
