The Rev. Emilio Ernesto Cavaleri, 82, retired Methodist Minister, and father of Ed F. Cavaleri of Atlanta, died Monday in Birmingham, Alabama.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, the Rev. Mr. Cavaleri began his ministry at the East Point Street Methodist Church in East Point in 1918, serving there for ten years. He then served in Rossville for two years, and at numerous churches in Tennessee, Alabama and Virginia.

Surviving also are his wife, the former Maggie Edna Fairbanks of Atlanta; five daughters, Mrs. Dean Peck, Panama City, Florida, Mrs. Johnnie Roberts, Birmingham, Alabama, Mrs. Max Creviston, Muncie indiana; Mrs. A. T. Hammond, Knoxville, Tennessee; Mrs. C. M. Cantrell, Cleveland, Ohio and three other sons, Charles S. , Curtis H., and E. E. Cavaleri, Jr., all of Birmingham.

Graveside services for the Rev. Mr. Cavaleri will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Hollywood Cemetery. The Rev. E. J. Hammond and the Rev. W. M. Bishop will officiate.
