The youngest child of Michael and Margaret Flynn-Gormley, Ann was born in Hibbert Twp. Perth County, Ontario. She was baptised on Feb 27, 1857 at St. Columban Church. In 1866 she immigrated with her family to Metamora Twp. Lapeer County. There she met Charles Doherty and married him on Sept 28, 1879. Charles preceded her in death on Dec 4, 1913. Both are buried in the Gormley family plot next to her parents and sister Alice and brother Thomas.
