William Osgerby was the son of John Thomas Osgerby and Elizabeth H. (Gaunt) Osgerby. William never married.

William is buried on the Osgerby lot in Block B, Sec. 1 of Riverside Cemetery. Also buried on this lot are his parents John Thomas and Elizabeth Osgerby; William's brother Jabez Kaleb "J.K." Osgerby; J.K.'s first wife E. Lusettie (Hathaway) Osgerby; J.K.'s second wife Reine M. (Torrey) Osgerby; and three of J.K.'s children, Lela E. Osgerby, C. Fenton Osgerby, and Jean Louise Osgerby.
