John Wesley Hall was born December 9, 1926 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Ruth Catherine and William Lloyd Hall. He passed away June 30, 2009 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years, 6 months and 21 days.
John grew up in Sayre and began working on farms and ranches in western Oklahoma. He was married to Alma Faye Sweet at Sayre, Oklahoma on December 5, 1947 and they continued to live in Sayre to make their home. He began working for the City of Sayre in 1970 where he worked as the Street Superintendent and Interim City Manager until his retirement in 1994. After his retirement John kept busy by working odd jobs for people in the community. He loved fishing and spending time with his family. John was known for his garden and sharing his vegetables with family and friends
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Alma, 1 granddaughter, Jennifer, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
He is survived by his 1 Daughter, Eva Brewer and husband, Jasper, Sayre, OK; 2 Sisters, Evelyn McKinsey, Elk City, OK and Vesta Lee Todd, El Reno, OK; 1 Brother, Gene Hall, El Reno, OK; 2 Grandchildren, John Brewer and wife, Tamara and Jared Brewer and wife, Ashley, all of Sayre, OK; 2 Great Grandchildren, Alissa and Colin, and a host of other relatives and friends.
