Evelyn Mabel McKinsey, 94, of Elk City, Oklahoma but she liked the name “Grandma” the best. Evelyn was born on October 20, 1925 in Sayre, Oklahoma. She is the daughter of William Lloyd and Ruth Catherine (Huffman) Hall. She passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Bell Avenue Nursing Home in Elk City, Oklahoma with her loving family by her side.
Evelyn married her best friend Raymond June 8, 1940. She accepted Christ in 1951 at Westside Baptist Mission and baptized at First Baptist Church in Sayre.
She was an excellent seamstress, sewing everything from baby doll clothes to wedding dresses, working in her garden, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and teaching her grandchildren and great grandchildren to sew.
Funeral services will be held at the Martin-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel in Elk City, Oklahoma. Rev. Danny Ringer will officiate. Interment will be at Sayre-Doxey Cemetery, in Sayre, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma.
Cherishing her memory is her daughter, Lois Fish and Mike Boyle of Elk City, Oklahoma; grandchildren, DeeDray Gray and Roger of Camargo, Oklahoma, Rodney Fish and Chantel of Elk City, Oklahoma; great grandchildren, Matthew Fish and wife, Shannon of Elk City, Oklahoma, Dustin Gray and wife, Fallon of Camargo, Oklahoma, Barrett Gray and wife Caity of Elk City, Oklahoma, Payton Fish and Tiffany of Elk City, Oklahoma, Weston Fish and Emiley of Elk City, Oklahoma, Braxton Fish of Elk City, Oklahoma; great-great grandchildren, Valora Fish, Kelton Fish, Kaydence Gray, J.T. Gray, Karley Gray, Evelyn Gray, Alison Fish, Maggie Gray; one sister, Vesta Lee Todd; and a host of other friends and relatives.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her parents, William and Ruth Hall; and her seven siblings.
