Funeral services for Dewitt Hall were held Monday, September 21, 1998 at 10:00 a.m. in the Martin Funeral Chapel of Sayre with Bro. Kevin Ballard and Rev. Ray Smart officiating.
Dewitt Stone Hall, the son of Lloyd and Ruth (Huffman) Hall, was born December 26, 1922 at Sayre, OK and passed away Thursday, September 17, 1998 at the age of 75.
Dewitt attended Bulo and Sayre Schools and was married to Geraldine Prater on June 10, 1944. Dewitt worked for the city of Sayre for ten years and then the Halls moved to a farm in the Bulo community where he farmed for some 25 yeas(sic) before moving back to Sayre. He also was a carpenter along with his farming. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Dewitt was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Hall of the home; one daughte, Dianne Robinson of Sayre; two grandchildren; three sisters, Willie Riley and Evelyn McKinsey both of Sayre and Vesta Lee Todd of El Reno, OK; three brothers, John Hall and Bert Hall both of Sayre, OK and Gene Hall of Oklahoma City.
Burial was in the Lone Oak Cemetery under the direction of Martin Funeral Service.
