Frederick News-Post - January 21, 1966

Miss Medora Jones, 86, of Jefferson Boulevard, Braddock Heights, died suddenly yesterday in Orlando, Fla., where she was visiting relatives.

Miss Jones was born near Poolesville. A daughter of the late John and Mary [Hays] Jones, she was a retired and a member of the Episcopal Church and the United Daughters of the Confederacy.

She leaves two sisters Mrs. Elizabeth Smoot and Mrs. Eleanor Warehime, both of Braddock Heights.

Friends may call at the Hilton Funeral Home in Barnesville Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home Monday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Monocacy Cemetery at Beallsville.

The family requests that in lieu of floral tributes, donations be made to the Memorial Church of the Transfiguration at Braddock Heights.
