My grandfather loved fishing. It was his favorite sport other than hunting. He was the best at doing both. Then again, he was the best at whatever he put his mind to. He loved fixing stuff. He never had anything done by a professional, he did it all himself. He was very clever at making it work, even though it wasn't done the way most people would have done it. He had a great sense of humor but he was quick to being on the defensive. I have very fond memories of my grandpa and I miss him dearly.

He was born in Reichertshofen, Germany and lived in Höchstadt. He immigrated to the United States in 1928 and was Naturalized on Oct. 5, 1937.
He married Edna Marie Schmidt on June 22, 1940. They had five children together: Barbara, Edna, Leonard, William Jr. and Robert.
Their children gave them four grandchildren: Christina Mack, William Sterling Mack, Angela Mack and Bobby Mack.
