Celebrated Ninety-Fifth Birthday
A noteworthy celebration was held at the home of Mrs. H. A. Snyder last Monday, the occasion being the ninety-fifth birthday of Mrs. Mary Brewer, who now resides with Mrs. Snyder. She was born in the town of Lockport and distinctly remembers when that city was only woods, and one store there where implements for the work on the Erie canal were sold.
Her son, A. O. Brewer, now 72 years of age, and a grandson C. B. Brewer, both of Decatur, Ill., were here to celebrate her birthday. Other guests from out of town were Mrs. Charles Freeman, Mrs. Fred Walker, Mrs. Samuel Adams and Mrs. Crouch, all of Lockport.
A delicious supper was served at six o'clock. The birthday cake was made and presented by Mrs. Charles Freeman, of Lockport.
