John Martin III, 36, of Duluth, formerly of Fond du Lac Reservation, passed away on Oct. 3, 2002, in his home, in Duluth. He was born on April 13, 1966 to John Jr. and Linda (Northrup) Martin.

John was a loving father, son and brother.

Preceded in death by son Waylen Waldo grandparents John Martin Sr., Dorothy Tiessen Martin , Robert Northrup, and Gladys Roy, and a nephew Ni-Ba-Osa

Survived by his wife Kathleen, children Ben, Dusty, Frank, Chantel, Crystal and Jacqueline, parents John Jr and Linda Martin, brothers and sisters Tina, Mike, Kim, Shelly, Billie Jo, Serena, Robert, Alberta, Gladys and Linda, 49 nieces and nephews, 7 grand nieces and nephews several aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.

VISITATION:5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, in the Old Sawyer Center, Sawyer, and continues through the evening until the 11 a.m. Traditional service on Monday, Oct. 7, in the Old Sawyer Center.Interment in Big Lake Indian Cemetery. Arrangements by Barr Brothers-Handevidt Funeral Home, Cloquet (218) 879-4636.
