Clara Willis Burton, 84, of Foxpointe Drive died at 6:12 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000, at Alterra Sterling House of Columbus.
She worked for Arvin for 28 years before retiring. She was a member of Sixth Street Baptist Church and Senior Citizens Center, and she enjoyed sewing and quilting.
Funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Grissom Funeral Home in Columbia, Ky. Calling will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Barkes, Inlow and Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street, and from noon until service time Wednesday at Grissom Funeral Home. Burial will be at Haven Hill Cemetery in Columbia.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Born July 12, 1916, in Adair County, Ky., she was the daughter of George Robert and Fannie Triplett Willis. She married Carl Burton Dec. 24, 1933. He died in August 1972.
Survivors include a sister, Dorothy Willis Hill of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Absher Powell and brothers, Leonard and Elby Willis.
