Elby Lee Willis, 71, of North Hughes Street died at 4 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, 1999, at his home.
He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and retired in 1978 from Stadler Packing Co.
Funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Barkes, Inlow and Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Daryl Gressel officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 11:30 a.m. until service time Friday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Born in Columbia, Ky., Oct. 23, 1927, Mr. Willis was the son of Robert "Bob" and Fannie Triplet Willis.
Survivors include a companion, Agnes Wilbur of Columbus; sisters, Dorothy Hill and Clara Burton, both of Columbus; grandsons, Gary and Brian Gressel, both of Overland Park, Kan.; and a granddaughter, Jessica Christian of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeannie Gressel; one sister; and two brothers.
