Bessie Carico was the sixth child of Laban and Cora Julia Beverly Carico. She married Marlin Haynes from Pine Creek, Clintwood, Dickenson County, Virginia. She lived most of her early life with her grandparents, Frank Monroe and Mary Jane Beverly on Pine Creek.
