"Thayn Merl Tubbs, 68, of Spring Creek, RD 1, died at his home at 6 am yesterday after an extended illness. He was born March 11, 1894, in Sping Creek Township and had lived all his life there as a well-known and active farmer. Last fall he was elected as road supervisor in Spring Creek Township. He is a past school director of the township. He attended the Cobbs Corners Community Church. He married Olive Armitage on May 18, 1922. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs John Oesch of Corry; one son, Worth Tubbs of Santa Maria, Calif; six grandchildren; one sister, Mrs Alton Pitt of Kane; two brothers, Gordon Tubbs of Titusville and Virgil Tubbs of Spring Creek, RD 1. Friends may call at the Bracken Funeral Home in Corry. Funeral arrangements are incomplete."
