THOS. E. LEESON DIES AT 77 YEARS FROM PARALYSIS

Thomas Edward Leeson, 77, a life-long resident of DeKalb county, died Sunday at 12:30 a. m. at the DeKalb county home following a stroke of paralysis that he suffered Saturday night. He had been in poor health several years.

The body was taken to the Zimmerman funeral home in Garrett. where final rites will be held Tuesday at 2 p. m. The Rev. R. J. Yunker. pastor of the Garrett Methodist church, will officiate and burial will follow in Union cemetery, northwest of Garrett.

Mr. Leeson was born Jan. 1. 1871, on a farm two miles southwest of Garrett. He is a former B. & O. car shop employee and a farmer. He and Anna Leeson were married at Hillsdale, Mich., in 1914. She died in 1942.

Surviving are one son, Fred, of Ligonier; three stepsons. Tom Leeson of Altona, Sam Leeson of 114 South First street, Garrett, and Don Leeson of two and a half miles southwest of Garrett ; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Richard Dolan of Altona and Mrs. Donald Kooken of Bloomington; 12 step-grandchildren ; and a sister, Mrs. Hattie Imler of North Randolph street extended, Garrett.

Mr. Leeson was a member of the Maccabees order.
