Born in Cleveland County Feb. 12, 1927, he was a son of the late Ernest and Lucy Spangler Elliott.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and served in the European Theater.
He retired as an electrician from Florida Power & Light Co. He attended Palm Springs United Methodist Church in Hialeah, Fla.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Z. Elliott.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Lee Waldrep Elliott; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Ellen Elliott of Lawndale; a brother, Robert William Elliott Jr. of Douglasville, Ga.; two nieces, Margaret Chapman and Elizabeth Sawyer; two nephews, Bob Elliott and Johnny Elliott; five great-nieces, Melody Sawyer, Amber Sawyer, Samantha Elliott, Stephanie Elliott and Katie Elliott; and a great-nephew, Kevin Elliott.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park.
