Henderson, TN - David W. Massengill, 92, retired minister and farmer, died Friday at his home near Enville.


Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Sweetlips Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Casey Funeral Home has charge.


Mr. Massengill, the husband of Mary Elizabeth Henderson Massengill, also leaves six daughters, Mildred Smith and Joy Grisham, both of Lexington, Maerene Barker of Savannah, Naomi Grimes of Bethel Springs, Mary Etta Duke of Morris Chapel and Nannie Nixon of Adamsville; six sons, Max Massengill and Joseph Massengill, both of Enville, Paul Ray Massengill of Taylor, Mich., William Massengill of Ripley, Troy Massengill of Adamsville and John S. Massengill of Memphis; four sisters, Mary Gatley and Ruth Sparks, both of Henderson, and Vera Massengill and Imo Massengill, both of Savannah; a brother, Alvin Massengill of Henderson, 23 grandchildren, one step-grandchild, 26 great-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
