Marion went by his middle name Ward. Ward was a real nice man who would have given the shirt of his back to help someone. During WWII, Ward was a U.S. Marine, but due to sinus problems, he was honorably discharged shortly after boot camp. He married late in life to Mary Pusatari WIlson. Ward never had any children; he should have since he loved kids. For a detailed biographical history of Ward's paternal ancestry read: The Reece Family History, 3rd Edition, 2016, written by his grand nephew, Brett D. Reece. The book is digitized at Familysearch.org and is 1,148 pages.

Ward died due to complications from a motor vehicle accident; he was struck by a vehicle while he was getting mail at the end of his driveway. He recovered in the hospital, but when he learned he would not return home he gave up the ghost.
