Monticello, Nov. 16- Lorenzo
W. Alford, 80 of South Main
street, died Thursday at the home
of his son, Vernon Ln Lafayette.
Mr. Alford came to White county
from Illinois sixteen years
ago. He served as Justice of the
Peace several years In Monticello
and had been in failing health
several years he was taken to his
sons home three weeks ago where
he died.
Funeral services will be held
at the Monticello Methodist
church, Sunday afternoon at 1
o'clock, where the body will be
brought by G. A. Stephan, Monti-_
cello funeral director, who prepared
the body, Just before the
funeral. Dr. U. G. Leazenby will
officiate and burial will be In
Riverview cemetery.
Surviving are the widow and
the son Vernon.
