Widow of C.A. Schmauder, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Herman Maeter of 1901 Third Avenue, yesterday morning of diseases incident to advanced age. Deceased was born in Richland township, Cambria county, on Dec. 26, 1845 (Note: Caroline Frank Schmauder was born in Germany, not Pennsylvania-pf), a daughter of John and Margaret Frank, both deceased. She attended the Johnstown schools and on May 1, 1870, was united in marriage with Mr. Schmauder.
She is survived by four children: C.A. Schmauder of Lakemont Terrace, and Charles, Mrs. Elmer Liebegott and Mrs. Herman Maeter, all of this city. One sister, Mrs. Emma Gumter (Ginter) of Stoyestown and seven grandchildren also survive.
