Funeral services were held at LeJeune Memorial Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 22. 1 996 for Mayonie (Stark) Smith. 72, with burial following in Maxie Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith, a resident of Eunice, died at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, October 20. 1996 at her residence.
Survivors include three sons, John Alton Stakes of Marshall. Texas. James Thomas Stakes of Gainesville, Georgia and Dennis Matthew Stakes of Barstow. CA: one brother,
L.J. Stark of Eunice: four sisters. Mrs. Lloyd "Sibyl" Young and Mrs. Ray "Gladys" West, both of Eunice; Mrs. John "Jeanette" Walker of Metairie and Mrs. Robert "Gloria" Cline of Lafayette; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
