Born in Chatsworth, GA June 19, 1916, to J.C. and Clara Ogletree, he moved with his family to the Olton area in 1925. He attended Olton and Springlake Schools. A farmer, he retired in 1980. He was an avid antique and junk collector. He attended First Baptist Church. He and the former Inez Hackler were married in Clovis, NM April 20, 1937.
