∼The former Clara Adams was born Aug. 26, 1883 in Spring Place, GA. She married J.C. (Cliff) Ogletree Sept. 21, 1904. He died in 1963. She came with her husband and three small sons to Olton in 1925, settling on a farm north of Olton Cemetery. They broke virgin prairie with a team of mules and four years later moved to north Circle where they once again broke virgin prairie. After their youngest son was married, Clara and J.C. moved back to Georgia, when a doctor advised the change for her health. They returned to the home place north of Circle four years later. She was preceded in death by a three-year-old son, Ralph, Sept. 12, 1915 and a five-year-old daughter, Violet, Sept. 13, 1915. Also preceding her in her death were two other sons, C.L. in 1975 and Luther in 1980.
