Charles E. Bowerman, 65, a former Lykens resident, died suddenly at his home at Chamber Hill on Thursday, September 20. He was a retired employee of the Reading Railroad Company, a member of the Whitlock Lodge No. 127, and the Brotherhood of R. R. Trainmen. Mr. Bowerman was born in Lykens and was the son of the late Frank and Ida Paul Bowerman. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Catharine H. Bowerman, a son, Edward, of Harrisburg R.D. 1, a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Ogden, of Williamsport; four grandchildren, two sister, Mrs. Resta West, of Lykens and Mrs. Minnie Good, of Harrisburg. Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at his home in Chamber Hill with the Rev. C. R. Longenecker, pastor of the Evangelical United Brethren Church, officiating. Burial took place in the Chamber Hill Cemetery.
