Columbia, La., March 16. -- (Special) -- Mrs. Jeff N. Lucus [sic Lucas], 79, resident of Columbia, died Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Funeral arrangements are incomplete, pending arrival of relatives from out of town, but interment will be held in the Welcome Home Cemetery, under direction of Riser's Funeral Home of Columbia.
Rev. T. J. Ratcliff will officiate at the service.
Surviving are: her husband, Jeff of Columbia; four daughters, Mrs. T. W. Cruse and Mrs. Hanna McCarter of Columbia; Mrs. C. E. Esters of Grayson and Mrs. A. L. Smith of Jackson, Miss.; two sons, M. E. of Kelly, and J. E. of Houston.
Others surviving are: a sister, Mrs. J. M. Garner of Olla; a brother, J. E. Sanders of Cotton Plant; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
