Barron

Sylvester Barron, aged 76 years, died at his home at Sioux City, Wednesday morning, June 30, 1926.

Mr. Barron was a former resident of this county, and lived here several years in Cedar township, moving to Sioux City in 1893.

He leaves a wife, three sons, two daughters and many other relatives to mourn his passing.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 2, at Sioux City and were conducted by Rev. Father Edward Barron, a nephew of the deceased.

Relatives from here attending the funeral were James Barron, Phillip Barron, Mike Fitzgerald, Mrs. John Luttrell and Mrs. Wm. Scleszinsci.

Sylvester was a child born to Bridget (Murphy) and Philip Barron. He came to the United States from Ireland with his mom and siblings at a young age.

He married Mar 28, 1876 in Weller, Ia. Margaret Agnes Fitzgerald.

They had 11 children all born in Iowa:

They farmed in Iowa until a homesteading move to Idaho where they settled and Carl was killed. They returned to Iowa and settled in Sioux City where they both died.
