J.W. Tharp, 46, a resident of Throckmorton was found dead in his room at the Burch Hotel and an inquest by Justice W.T. Fincher verified the cause of death to be natural causes. Mr. Tharp had gone to Breckenridge Friday for extensive dental work.
The body was transferred to Merriman's funeral home in Throckmorton, Texas. Services were held in the Presbyterian Church in Throckmorton conducted by Rev. Edgar Jones, pastor of the First Baptist Church.
Survived by his mother; two daughters - Mrs. Lee Knowles, and Frances Jo Tharp; two sons - Tommy and Donald Ray Tharp; and three sisters - Verdie Faulkner, Evelyn Allen, and Sally Lou Tharp.
