Caroline "Carrie" Roach was born on May 17, 1893 at Plymouth, Ransom County, North Dakota to parents Edward and Catherine Madigan Roach. She was christened on June 4, 1893 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Lisbon, Ransom County, North Dakota.
Caroline was a second grade teacher for the Ransom County Schools from March 1911 through February 1916 prior to her marriage. She married Joseph "Joe" John Wiederholt, Jr. on February 22, 1916 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. To this union were born six children: Bernard Joseph, Kathleen Mary Wiederholt Greuel, Edward Anthony, Donald Charles, Willard James, and Rose "Irene" Wiederholt Diggins.
On April 6, 1933 she died at home after a lengthly illness. Funeral services were held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church and interment was in the St Aloysius Catholic Cemetery with Rev. Father Al O'Donoghue officiating.
